Edmonton Oilers Begin Round 1 Against Los Angeles Kings

Game 1 Recap: Oilers Win 7-4

The Edmonton Oilers began their first-round series against the Los Angeles Kings with a 7-4 victory at Rogers Place on Monday night. Connor McDavid led the way for the Oilers with a goal and two assists, while Leon Draisaitl added two goals and an assist. Zach Hyman, Evan Bouchard, and Darnell Nurse also scored for Edmonton.

The Oilers got off to a fast start, scoring three goals in the first period. McDavid opened the scoring with a power-play goal just 2:58 into the game. Draisaitl made it 2-0 with a goal at 5:39, and Hyman added another power-play goal at 12:35.

The Kings came back to tie the game in the second period, with goals from Trevor Moore, Adrian Kempe, and Anze Kopitar. However, the Oilers regained the lead in the third period with goals from Bouchard and Nurse.

Draisaitl added an empty-net goal with just over a minute remaining to seal the victory for the Oilers.

Game 2 Preview

The Oilers and Kings will face off in Game 2 of their first-round series on Wednesday night at Rogers Place. The Oilers will be looking to take a 2-0 series lead, while the Kings will be looking to tie the series at 1-1.
