Five nurses reflect on saving a critically injured man in a Gadsden County multi-vehicle crash
A team of five nurses sprang into action to save the life of a critically injured man following a multi-vehicle crash in Gadsden County, Florida.
The nurses, who all work at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, were driving home from work when they came upon the accident scene. They immediately stopped to help, and found a man lying on the ground with severe injuries.
The nurses quickly assessed the man's injuries and determined that he was in critical condition. They began CPR and used a defibrillator to shock his heart back into rhythm.
The nurses continued to provide life-saving care until paramedics arrived. The man was then transported to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, where he underwent surgery and was admitted to the intensive care unit.
The man is now in stable condition, and is expected to make a full recovery. The nurses who saved his life are being hailed as heroes.
